RELEASE: Rep. Cloud Opposes Short-Term CR That Paves the Way for Massive Christmas Omnibus

WASHINGTON — Congressman Michael Cloud (R-TX) voted against the latest continuing resolution (CR), which funds the government through December 20th and sets the stage for a massive Christmas omnibus. Rep. Cloud has long warned against these spending measures, arguing that Republicans are again giving in to Democrat’s priorities while receiving nothing in return.

Rep. Cloud released the following statement:

When I travel Texas’ 27th District, I never hear about how D.C. is working perfectly and doesn’t need change. I voted NO on the CR because it does the opposite of changing things—it continues the status quo and fails to address our nation’s real issues.
