RELEASE: Cloud Appointed Vice Chair of Energy & Water Subcommittee
WASHINGTON—Congressman Michael Cloud (TX-27) released the following statement after being appointed Vice Chair of the Energy & Water Appropriations Subcommittee in the 119th Congress and re-appointed to the Interior and Financial Services & General Government (FSGG) subcommittees:
“I’m honored to serve as Vice Chair of the Energy & Water Appropriations Subcommittee in the 119th Congress. This role allows me to advocate for the America-first energy policies that strengthen our national security, drive economic growth, and ensure the United States remains the global leader in energy production.”
Our district, TX-27, plays a pivotal role in this mission. The Port of Corpus Christi continues to lead in U.S. energy production, infrastructure development, and exports—recording the highest tonnage and revenue in history due to increased Texas-based crude and liquefied natural gas production and exports.
I’m also excited to continue serving on the Interior and Financial Services & General Government (FSGG) subcommittees to fight for responsible government spending and environmental policies that prioritize energy independence and put America first.”
Congressman Cloud also retains his position on the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee.
