Washington, D.C.一Today, Congressman Cloud (TX-27) issued a statement regarding the Russian invasion of Ukraine:

“The Russian invasion of Ukraine undermines the global framework of order and peace that the United States has fought for and upheld since WWII,” Congressman Cloud said. “Every country has a right to sovereignty and Russia’s invasion of Ukraine is a blatant violation of this sovereignty. We should leverage all the diplomatic means at our disposal, including sanctions, and urge our NATO allies to counter this Russian aggression and bring about a swift and peaceful resolution to this conflict. Unfortunately, this invasion is not surprising, as it comes on the heels of weak U.S. leadership abroad and failed energy policies which have made our European partners more reliant on Russian energy.”
