Hurricane Harvey made landfall in our district and devastated many communities in our part of Texas. We welcomed Vice President Pence to our community ahead of the one-year anniversary this past August to share with him what we have accomplished and what remains to be done – and there is much.

It is clear this administration, through the funding that has been provided, is making this recovery effort a priority, but federal and state agencies are taking too long to get that funding to the communities, families and individuals in need. We have dedicated several of our staff members to serve as liaisons to FEMA to help break through the bureaucratic hurdles and get funding to where it is so desperately needed  Securing recovery funds is key to our recovery and it is a priority for my staff and me. Additionally, I am actively supporting FEMA reforms that will help break through the current obstacles and so that we can avoid them in future disasters.

If you have a Harvey related inquiry, please contact my district offices for further assistance. We are here to help.
